About Indigo!
Indigo! (or Indi) is a small, spirited chihuahua mix with a sweet nature and medium energy. At 14 lbs, she fits right into a lively household, happily romping with other dogs and indulging her playful side chasing lizards, birds, and squirrels in the yard. She’s starting to get the hang of toys, occasionally giving chase to a ball, and loves her bully sticks and chews. In the evenings, Indi soaks up family time, curling up for some couch cuddles. She tends to be shy with new faces but warms up with slow, gentle introductions—treats help, too. Once she’s comfortable, Indi is affectionate and eager to connect with her people. She’s crate trained, making progress walking on leash, and enjoys both walks and hikes. House training is going well in her foster home. Indi’s dog savvy, gets along well with all sizes of dogs, and lives harmoniously with confident cats (though she might chase shy felines). Because she alerts with barking and can be overwhelmed by noise, apartments and homes with young children are not a good fit. Quiet, respectful kids 14+ could work. Indi is happiest when included in daily activities and would not adjust to being left alone for long stretches. She’d thrive with another young, friendly dog to help her build confidence and keep her company.
