About Lainey!
Lainey is a small chihuahua mix, born in early 2024 and currently weighing about 9 lbs. She’s happy, playful, and affectionate, with a gentle and submissive personality that makes her easy to love. Lainey can be shy with new faces, but she gradually relaxes with gentle introductions and some treats. She delights in toys and her chewy bones, and enjoys exploring the yard or playing chase with her dog friends. Lainey thrives with friendly, polite dogs, especially those her size, and is fine with larger dogs who aren’t rough. Rowdy play stresses her out, but she’s always up for a good game of chase. She shares her home with dogs of all sizes and dog-savvy cats but might chase a shy kitty, so only confident cats are a fit. Lainey is not suited for homes with children and should be placed in an adult-only household. Apartments aren’t a good match for her; she loves a yard. She’s crate trained, making progress on house training, and learning to walk nicely on a leash. Lainey needs an adopter with patience who can help her adjust, ideally with a confident, sociable dog companion to show her the ropes. She’s a sweet foster and is waiting for her forever home. Questions about Lainey!
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chihuahuas like Lainey are small, so they don’t require vast amounts of space but do benefit from a secure yard for play and exploration. Regular supervised yard time and short walks usually fulfill their needs.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Lainey’s breed can be sensitive to loud noises and sudden movements, often making them better suited for homes without young children. Lainey herself is recommended for an adult-only household.
