About Lucky Lucio
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Lucky Lucio is a sweet, handsome boy who found his way from Texas as a stray and journeyed to the rescue in 2021. He was adopted not long after, but life circumstances brought him back to the shelter—no fault of his own. On his return, a torn CCL (knee ligament) was discovered, requiring surgery, and during recovery, he suffered another injury from overcompensating. The rescue will fully cover his ongoing medical care through a foster-to-adopt arrangement, ensuring he gets the treatment he needs while he searches for a forever family. Lucky's foster parents share that he is incredibly calm and easygoing. Completely housetrained, he has never had an accident indoors. He greets new dogs and people with ease and is generally composed around cats, only getting playful when they dash away. Lucky loves walks and is easy to redirect, making strolls a pleasure. He adores car rides and outdoor adventures, but nothing beats curling up on the couch for cuddles. His endearing habit of "dancing" for a Greenie treat after a walk and his contentment lounging with his people showcase his big heart. This charming senior is available to meet by appointment in his foster home. Same-day adoptions are encouraged if it’s a great match. Astrologically, with his September 8th birthday, Lucky Lucio is a Virgo—known for gentle loyalty and a love of cozy routines! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
