About Charlie
If you are interested in any of the dogs available at New Leash Rescue, you can reach out to the foster listed below for more information and then complete an adoption application which can be found at https://www.newleashrescue.org/adopt/policy. Please email the completed application to newleashrescue2018@gmail.com Charlie is around 2 years old and weighs eight pounds and came to us after being left at a retail store. He is a bundle of energy and can be more vocal in certain situations. He is not recommended for any apartments or homes with shared walls that barking could create an issue. He is good with other dogs - he loves to run around in the yard with other small dogs. He is good with people and a sweet boy ready to find his forever home. He has crate anxiety - he likely was not introduced to one earlier and will do better in a home where someone is home more often to let him outside. Charlie is current on age-appropriate vaccinations, neutered and microchipped and started on monthly preventatives. Adoption fee is $550+ tax (no checks) Email to contact: adopt@newleashrescue.org Please inquire if this pup will be attending any of our upcoming Saturday adoption events from 11-2pm at the Burnsville, Cottage Grove, or Maplewood PetSmart locations. Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home. Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
