About Peabody

If you are interested in any of the dogs available at New Leash Rescue, you can reach out to the foster listed below for more information and then complete an adoption application which can be found at https://www.newleashrescue.org/adopt/policy. Please email the completed application to newleashrescue2018@gmail.com Peabody is a 2-3 year old french bulldog who was an unclaimed stray. He's a good boy who loves to eat dandelions and sniff around outside. He has no fear and dives right into meeting new dogs. He doesn't always have all the manners so some dogs may perceive him to be a bit more forward. When he gets comfortable at home, he tends to bite at the feet/pants of visitors that come over, so is not recommended with kids or families who are not comfortable working with this. Peabody will do best in a home that is familiar about flat faced breeds and their unique characteristics. Peabody is neutered, microchipped, current on DHPP, Bordatella, and Rabies vaccines, heartworm tested and fecal tested negative. He is also started on preventatives. Adoption fee is $650+ tax (no checks) Email to contact: adopt@newleashrescue.org Please inquire if this pup will be attending any of our upcoming Saturday adoption events from 11-2pm at the Burnsville, Cottage Grove, or Forest Lake PetSmart locations. Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home. Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
