About Schroeder

Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Schroeder is an adorable 1 1/2-year-old Chihuahua who is ready for his forever home after overcoming some challenges. Neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccines, Schroeder just finished heartworm treatment and will soon be available for adoption; he still requires limited activity for a short period as he recovers. As is common with many Chihuahuas, Schroeder is people selective and may take several meetings before you see his affectionate side, but once he bonds, he forms a deep attachment and will shower you with love—along with his impressive collection of 50 toys! He's best suited to a home without small children, is dog selective, and does well with cats. Thanks to generous donations, Schroeder's adoption fee is completely covered. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!

Questions about Schroeder

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Chihuahuas thrive in a home environment where they can form close bonds with their family. They’re well-suited to apartments or small houses, provided they get enough attention and care.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Chihuahuas require only minimal outdoor space. Short walks and playtime inside or in a small yard are usually enough to meet their exercise needs.
