Piper is a pint-sized bundle of spirit, eager to be someone’s adventure buddy. She’s a Chihuahua-Terrier mix—imagine a compact "Pocket Pitbull" personality in a small, sturdy body. At about three years old, Piper is ready for anything, whether it’s a hike through the woods or a long couch snuggle. Since moving from boarding into a foster home, she’s shown she’s happiest close by her person and thrives on attention. Piper loves leaping onto a recliner for marathon cuddle sessions, but she also enjoys investigating the yard or going after her toys. She prefers Nylabones and Kongs—soft toys don’t last long with her enthusiasm. Piper can keep herself entertained but really shines with human or canine company. While she gets along with many dogs, she’s selective and might not mesh with everyone; a meet and greet is required. She’s a little too much for cats and does best with children over twelve due to her strength and energy. She’s house trained, spayed, and up to date on her vaccines. Piper is working on leash manners and not jumping up, but with her eagerness to please and treat motivation, she learns quickly. Her ideal home is active, ready to put in consistent time and offer lifelong companionship. Foster-to-adopt situations are welcome within 80 miles of Adams, NY, and Piper deserves the chance to become someone’s beloved sidekick. Every animal deserves a happy ending.
