About Gordito

This could be the start of something paw-some. Meet Gordito—a gentle, easygoing soul with a heart full of resilience and love. At around five years old, Gordito is a large mixed-breed with striking black, brown, and white coloring. He has outgrown the boisterousness of youth and delights in relaxed walks, affection, and soaking up the calm moments by your side. Neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, Gordito is the epitome of a well-adjusted, low-maintenance companion. Gordito is people-oriented, quick to trust, and always gentle. He’s known for his quiet demeanor and prefers a laid-back lifestyle, often relaxing independently even when surrounded by other dogs in his current daycare environment. While he coexists beautifully with canine friends, he does not get along with cats but is house trained, leash trained, and does well with structure and routine. Gordito also enjoys the comforts of indoor living, resting in a shared kennel without fuss. A former stray, Gordito spent over three years braving the world with a dwindling group of dogs until compassionate rescuers gave him a second chance in 2024. Despite his tough beginnings, he remains warm, trusting, and appreciative, craving a calm home where he can be the loyal companion he's always meant to be. Gordito thrives around gentle families, quieter households, and even seniors looking for a steadfast friend. Food is one of his greatest joys, so portion monitoring is recommended. He is currently in Mexico but ready to travel to Washington State for the perfect home, complete with a 10-day trial. Open your heart to Gordito—and let his next chapter begin with you.
