About Louie
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Meet Louie, a striking 2 ½-year-old Rottweiler who’s searching for a loving place to call his own. Louie is a big-hearted boy who’s always ready for an adventure and loves being outdoors with his humans. After being adopted less than a year ago, Louie’s world was turned upside down due to unexpected medical issues in his current family, leaving him in need of a stable and devoted home where he can truly thrive as king of the castle. Louie gets along well with cats outside, content to share space with them, but he needs a home without livestock and preferably as the only dog. He is polite, friendly, and enjoys greeting visitors before relaxing on his own. Louie is patient, gentle, and loves catching balls or lounging in the grass with a favorite chew toy. Though he is sometimes left home alone for long stretches, he does not bark unnecessarily or destroy items, instead quietly waiting for his chance to play. While he has shown barrier aggression at the fence when other dogs pass by, he’s well-behaved on walks and has great leash manners. Louie would blossom with an adopter who enjoys activities like obedience games, hiking, or scent work, and who is committed to building a close bond with him. He’s eager for engagement and would do best with someone dedicated to helping him shine. As a Gemini, Louie is versatile and social, making him a wonderful companion for the right family. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
