At around 1.5 years old and about 75 pounds, Rouge keeps his people laughing with goofy antics, like tossing his toys or zooming around the yard. He thrives on engagement and checks in often, always eager to be part of the action and connect with his humans. He’s still working on manners but is making steady progress with consistency and gentle guidance. Potty and crate training are under his belt. Rouge especially enjoys hikes, rides well in the car, and always welcomes trail adventures. He absolutely loves toys, active playtime, and anything involving movement. Rouge needs a home with a big, fenced yard and would do well with someone confident and capable of reinforcing good boundaries due to his size and strength. While not aggressive, he’s still learning just how much space he takes up and needs continued positive reinforcement. Rouge gets along with other dogs but does not get along with cats or children. Due to a history of shelter scarcity, he can be protective over food, so consistent routines help him feel secure and make progress in this area.
