About Padme

Padme is a brown, 3-year-old female Pit Bull Terrier mix with a short, sleek coat, red nose, soulful eyes, and semi-erect ears. She was surrendered after being part of a family since she was a five-week-old puppy, and has mostly lived indoors, sticking close to her people and enjoying long daily walks. She’s reliably house trained, knows sit, down, and shake, and walks decently on leash. Padme loves cuddling, time outdoors, and dog park trips, but she can’t live with other dogs or cats—she needs to be your only pet. She gets along with children, though, and she’s described as super sweet, affectionate, and smart. Padme experiences severe separation anxiety and will chew personal items or furniture if left alone for long hours. She’ll also bolt out open doors, so the right adopter will need to be diligent and patient to help her adjust and feel secure. Padme is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She’s not a fit for homes with cats or other dogs due to previous resource guarding, but could be a fantastic companion for someone experienced or ready to help her through her anxieties. She’s a Virgo—often considered attentive and loyal. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
