About Hunter
Meet Hunter, a vibrant 2-year-old neutered male chocolate Labrador Retriever weighing in at 75 lbs. He's full of energy and affection, making him a delightful companion. After a little mishap with a cat toy that required emergency surgery, Hunter is now fully recovered and ready for a fresh start in a loving home. Hunter is house-trained and crate-trained, and he knows several commands, including "sit," "stay," and "down." He enjoys his daily walks, typically around 30-45 minutes, but he would thrive in a home with a yard where he can run and play to burn off excess energy. Although he can be exuberant, especially when greeting visitors or when he sees other dogs, training and socialization are on the horizon for him. Hunter has displayed a friendly demeanor with people and other dogs, but he does pull on the leash and would benefit from guidance in those areas. For potential adopters, it's important that Hunter's new home has older kids who can handle his playful nature, as he's known to jump up and get excited. He is also good with cats but might try to nibble on small toys, so supervision is key. An active family with experience in managing large dogs would provide the ideal environment for Hunter to thrive. This sweet boy loves cuddles and companionship and just wants to be around his people. Are you ready to welcome Hunter into your home? Click apply to start the adoption process.
