His affectionate nature makes him great with children, and he enjoys their company immensely. As Yoshi matured, he's become particular about his canine companions, occasionally initiating scuffles with larger dogs he doesn’t resonate with, while still enjoying playtime with familiar smaller dogs and his Lab buddies.
