Being from the south can mean you find yourself abandoned as just a young pup for no reason of your own! Meet Max! Lucky for him someone with a huge heart found hime. Tossed aside- Not convenient! When I got the message, video and pictures asking if we could take him into rescue I knew he was a dog that deserved so much more than his fate. The video of him running past the person trying to help him and then u-turning back just wanting badly for this to be real was all it took for him to steal my heart. Currently with my rescue partner in NC Max is being cared for and learning about living in a home. He's traveled with his foster visiting friends, he's interacted with her dogs, foster dogs, friends dogs and done well with them all. He is a great dog. Cute, social, smart and so willing to learn. Max is initially shy but comes around so quickly with affection and gentle direction. He has a gentle soulful expression that hound owners know and love! There is not a mean bone in this dogs body! He lives with several other dogs and enjoys engagement showing a well tempered pup who will make someone a good family member. Athletic, smart and so ready for a family.
