About Sugar
Meet Sugar—the kind of dog whose name fits her perfectly. When she and her sister were abandoned in an outdoor kennel in North Carolina ahead of a snowstorm, local volunteers made sure help came before the cold did. Now safe, Sugar's gentle nature comes through in everything she does. She's an easygoing dog, quiet and calm, with a clear appreciation for affection and a softness in her eyes that says she knows she was rescued. She gets along well with other dogs and rarely asks for attention, though she hopes for it with every glance. After being separated from her sister, Sugar’s adapted without protest but clearly misses her. What she wants most is a stable home, a spot she can relax, and someone who never lets her feel left behind again. She’s smart and eager to learn new things, already house trained, and currently working through heartworm treatment—she’ll soon be ready for a fresh start. If your idea of a great dog is one who’s loyal, quiet, and grateful for every kindness, Sugar may be your perfect match. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
