About Cowboy

Cowboy is a young, spirited dog who brings endless energy and humor wherever he goes. About one to two years old, he still has plenty of puppy zest and a habit of prancing with excitement. He views the world as a playground and spreads good vibes to anyone nearby. Cowboy gets along very well with other dogs, especially those who like to wrestle and play hard. He'd do great in a home with another confident, playful dog, but he’ll also thrive as a solo pet if his people are ready to provide regular exercise, enrichment, and training. Cowboy is nearly housebroken with a routine and will alert you when he needs to go out. He sleeps quietly in his crate at night. He picks up new commands fast—he already knows sit, stay, lay down, and shake—and loves food-motivated training. Adventures and car rides are favorites, and he is very affectionate, often wanting to be close and offer kisses. In the house, he’s interested in toys and can get a bit destructive if bored, so structure is important. He’s working on polite play with dogs and still learning not to counter surf or pull on leash, so continued training is needed. This guy does best with older, sturdy kids because his enthusiasm might be too much for young children. Cowboy is not suitable for homes with cats—he finds them way too tempting and would chase them. He’s not a couch potato and wants in on all the action. For an active, hands-on family, Cowboy will be a loyal, loving, and fun dog. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
