About Joy
Meet Joy — a young girl who deserves so much more than a shelter kennel. Joy was found just as the snow began to fall, cold and alone, clearly searching for help. Thankfully, she’s safe now — but safety isn’t the same as belonging. Joy doesn’t belong in a shelter. She belongs curled up on a couch, surrounded by people who love her. She is about a year old and truly one of the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet. Gentle, affectionate, and deeply people-oriented, Joy adores human connection. She does wonderfully with kids and simply wants to be near her family, content to follow you from room to room or settle quietly by your side. In the home, Joy is clean, respectful, and non-destructive. She keeps her kennel spotless and has proven herself to be an easy house guest who just wants warmth and stability. Joy can be hesitant with other dogs and would need very slow, thoughtful introductions if placed with a canine companion. With people, however, her loving nature shines immediately. She has a look all her own — a dock-style Rottweiler tail paired with a pittie face and sturdy build — and a presence that’s impossible to ignore. But beyond her unique appearance is a heart that is steady, kind, and ready to attach to someone who won’t let her go. Joy is available for adoption or foster-to-adopt and is simply waiting for a soft place to rest and a family to call her own. She deserves comfort, security, and the chance to finally feel home. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
