About Faith
Meet Faith, a Catahoula hound mix with a pretty remarkable story. Faith arrived after a traumatic injury—she was found dragging a broken front leg and her back legs weren’t working, and her time at the shelter was nearly up. That’s when rescue stepped in. It took faith, with no plan and no funds at first, just hope. She’s about three years old, weighs around 45 pounds, and is all softness, inside and out. Faith underwent surgery, finished heartworm treatment, and is both spayed and up to date on her vaccines. Physically, she’s made an impressive recovery. Emotionally, she’s still a work in progress. Faith is gentle by nature, sensitive, sometimes easily startled. In foster care, she’s been around kids and other dogs with great success. She used to freeze at new sounds, but now she welcomes affection and has started showing her quirky, sweet side. Faith attempts to play with other dogs—she’s still figuring it out, but you can see her trying. She’s not bold or carefree, and likely never will be. What she needs most is a patient, understanding adopter who appreciates sensitive souls. Faith’s happiest with her people nearby, ideally in a home where someone works remotely. She recently started on a simple anxiety medication that’s made a big difference. Faith is fully potty and crate trained, affectionate, a little silly, and just wants a quiet place to heal. Give her patience, and she’ll give you her trust. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
