About Jack
Jack spent a decade with the family who adopted him as a puppy before ending up back at the shelter where he started out. When his companion Tina was adopted, Jack was left to find his footing alone, but he’s shown remarkable resilience. At first, he was reserved and missing his sister, but it didn’t take long for Jack’s affectionate side—a hallmark of the husky mix—to come through. Now he’s an easygoing, gentle guy who wants nothing more than to be close to his people and soak up all the affection he can get. He’s fully crate, leash, and house trained, and he loves going for walks as much as he enjoys cozying up at home. Jack is a true talker with a chorus of grumbles and silly commentary that will make you smile. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playtime, even if he’s got a few quirky, vocal habits. Cats, however, aren’t his forte—Jack can’t quite help but view them as a bit too interesting. He lights up around children and eagerly greets them at adoption events. While he had some hair loss along his back at intake, he improved quickly with medical care and is now up to date on vaccinations, prevention, and is neutered. He’s looking for a family who will let him be their devoted companion, never leaving him behind again. Meet-and-greets and adoption trials are available if you’re interested. Your new best friend is just one click away.
