About Daisy
Daisy lost her home when her owner became ill and is now searching for a new beginning in Ladson, SC. She’s about three years old, a Catahoula/Pit mix with a short red-chestnut coat, and she adores people of every age. Daisy can be shy at first but quickly warms up and loves attention. Crate-trained and eager to please, she still needs some leash work but learns quickly, especially when given patience and gentle encouragement. Her Catahoula side craves mental stimulation and exercise, while her pitty half is happy with a cozy lap to curl up on. Daisy has experience supporting her previous owner during anxiety episodes, showing her loyal and attentive nature. She is not comfortable with other dogs, so she’s best as the only animal in the home. Daisy hasn’t had much outdoor access and is trained to use pee pads. A patient, dog-savvy adopter who can help her build confidence and feel safe will be key to her success. Foster opportunities are open as well, but only for homes without other pets and someone willing to work on her training and confidence. Daisy has come through big changes and deserves a steady, gentle home where she can thrive. Click apply to start the adoption process.

Questions about Daisy
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Daisy's mix of Catahoula Leopard Dog and Pit Bull Terrier tends to do well in a home that can offer both companionship and structure. Homes with a fenced yard or access to safe outdoor areas are ideal, but dedicated indoor activity can work too.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
With her Catahoula and Pit Bull Terrier background, Daisy will appreciate daily walks, supervised play, and opportunities to stretch her legs. While a fenced yard is a plus, active walks or park visits can meet her exercise needs if outdoor space is limited.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Both Pit Bull Terriers and Catahoula Leopard Dogs can be affectionate with children when well-socialized. Daisy loves people of all ages, but given her shy side, she’ll do best with children who understand gentle handling and respect her space.
