Meet Sunny – A Brave, Loving Girl Ready for Her Next Safe Place Sunny is a true survivor. She was one of 27 dogs rescued during the polar vortex, and watching her transformation since then has been incredible. What began as fear and uncertainty has turned into confidence, playfulness, and a deep desire to be close to her people. Sunny is ready for a foster-to-asopt home where she can continue to feel safe, supported, and loved. Affectionate and full of joy, Sunny adores humans of all ages and has done wonderfully with her foster’s 3-year-old. She is excitable in the best way—happy, loving, and eager for connection. After playtime, she’s just as content curling up nearby, soaking in companionship and comfort. Sunny enjoys chew toys, bones, and interactive play, and she’s gaining confidence with the outdoors every day. Once fearful, she now happily goes outside with encouragement and is consistently pottying outdoors. She’s a great communicator and will bark to let you know when she needs a potty break. She’s curious and excited about other dogs and would benefit from slow, thoughtful introductions. Sunny is also doing well with crate training—she may protest briefly, but settles quickly and does well with routine. Sunny’s ideal home is one that can offer patience, structure, and reassurance as she continues to grow.
