PLEASE SEE END OF THIS PROFILE FOR CONTACT INFO. “Bruno” is an 8½-yo (born July/Aug 2017), approx 65-lb neutered male GSD who is loyal, loving and smart. Bruno bonds strongly with his people and wants to be close to them. He’s happiest when he’s part of the action, getting attention or relaxing near his humans. Bruno is healthy, up-to-date on core vaccinations, and microchipped. Bruno is friendly with strangers, both inside the house (properly introduced) and beyond. He is eager to meet new people. Bruno is great with young children—gentle and sweet. Bruno is great with other dogs. He loves to play and can be loud with excitement. If the other dog doesn’t want to engage, it may take him a moment to get the hint, but he’s non-aggressive. He’s gentle and respectful of small dogs, too. Here’s a bonus: Bruno is excellent with cats! He’s lived with cats and has been very sweet—even affectionate (he licks them and plays gently). Bruno is housetrained and fine when left alone inside by himself for hours. He sleeps either on his bed or with one of the teenage children he lives with. Bruno is very well behaved, even though he never received any formal obedience training. He walks great on a leash and is non-reactive towards other dogs he sees on walks. In fact, if given his choice he would want to play with the other dogs! Bruno does not have much experience being off-leash in non-confined areas. Bruno loves to travel in a vehicle and is a calm passenger. He’s not particularly toy-driven, but does like to play. He likes water and swimming. Bruno was adopted as a very young pup from a rescue group in 2017. He’s clearly a valued member of his family, but with their current lifestyle he's home alone for most of the day. He thrives on human connection and his people feel he deserves more consistent companionship and stimulation than they are able to provide. They want him to be in a home where he can be happier and better cared for day to day. Bruno is located in Clayton, CA (between Walnut Creek & Pittsburgh, CA). His adoption fee is $150.
