About Franco

Franco is a 5-year-old neutered male German Shepherd Dog who weighs around 85 lbs and lives in Pebble Beach, CA. He has a medium black and tan coat and a well-mannered, playful temperament. Franco greets everyone with friendliness—inside or on walks—and shows no resource guarding tendencies. He’s reliable with dogs; in his previous home, he played with two Golden Retrievers. Franco likely does fine with small dogs as well, and we’d actually prefer he’s adopted into a home with another dog since he can get anxious when left alone. There’s no observation with cats or children, but Franco’s calm, easy-going attitude and lack of prey drive are good signs for both. He’s fully housetrained, sleeps through the night in his crate, and moves into it willingly during the day. Franco doesn’t pull on leash, and though he isn’t treat-motivated, he listens to simple commands like ā€œsitā€ and ā€œshake.ā€ He enjoys car rides and behaves nicely as a passenger. Abandoned late last year, Franco was briefly adopted but returned after jumping a short fence to greet a neighbor’s dog. He’s never shown any aggression—always friendly, sometimes too enthusiastic. He’s now looking to join a family that can give him companionship, preferably with other dogs, and secure fencing. Start your journey together! Apply now.
