PLEASE SEE END OF THIS PROFILE FOR CONTACT INFO. "Lupin" is an approx 50-lb, 3-yo neutered male GSD/Husky who is loving, energetic and playful. Lupin is healthy, up-to-date on core vaccinations, and microchipped. Lupin is friendly with everyone he meets, both inside the house and beyond. He is great with young children, too. Lupin is great with other dogs and loves to play. He lives with his 4-yo Husky brother Koda who he gets along well with. He has not been around small dogs. Lupin has not been around cats and a home without cats is highly recommended for him. Lupin is housetrained, but his person (Charlotte) does keep him and Koda in a kennel when she is gone during the day. Lupin sleeps on the floor in the bedroom at night. Lupin pulls initially out of eagerness on leash when taken for walks, but settles down fairly quickly and then does not pull. He gets very excited when seeing other dogs while on walks, but does not act aggressively and is easy to redirect. Lupin enjoys traveling in a vehicle; he is generally excited for the first ten minutes or so but then settles down. He likes sticking his head out the window. Lupin loves to fetch and play with “brain-challenging” toys, crinkle toys and tennis balls. He loves to play tug-of-war, too. Charlotte is in the Air Force and took Lupin in as a young pup three years ago from another USAF family that was moving away and could not keep him. Now, Charlotte and her partner are facing the same dilemma, with an overseas deployment forthcoming. Further, they are gone for at least ten hours/day during which they have to keep Lupin (and Koda) in a kennel, which they know is far from an ideal situation for them. Thus, Charlotte is seeking a new home for Lupin & Koda, either separately or together. Lupin is located on Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield. There is a $100 adoption fee for Lupin.
