About Juneau
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Juneau is an astonishingly smart and driven pup who truly shines after overcoming a tough beginning. Although his early months were challenging, his spirit has remained positive and resilient. Instead of becoming withdrawn, he is open, affectionate, and eager to please, solidifying his status as a trainer’s dream. His adaptability and keen mind are matched by his gentle heart, always willing to learn and eager to connect. At about 18 months old, Juneau has grown into a striking, large-sized companion with a smooth sable and cream coat. He’s highly motivated by toys, treats, and praise, making training straightforward and fun—he excels at basic commands and displays excellent leash manners and off-leash recall. Juneau thrives when he has structure; he needs a confident, consistent leader ready to call the shots and set boundaries, as he is very attuned to his person. His energy is adaptable: playful all day if needed, but just as content to relax at your feet. He is great with other dogs, cats, and even horses. Crate trained, house training is still a work in progress, but he is not a nuisance barker and proves loyal and protective without being overwhelming. Juneau’s foster raves about his sharp intuition and loving disposition. He’s neutered, microchipped, free from parasites, and ready for his next adventure.
