Chief
AvailableChief is a small Rat Terrier mix with a short, tricolor coat and a gentle demeanor. As an adult neutered male in Lawrenceville, GA, Chief has been fully vetted and is up to date on his vaccinations. He’s house trained and gets along well with other dogs. Chief does best in an adult-only home and is making progress on leash training. He’s looking for a caring, patient adopter who can appreciate his sensitive nature.
About Chief
Chief has a quiet way about him. He’s been through a rough start—rescued from a filthy, overcrowded home where basics like food or affection barely made their way to him. You’ll notice right out the gate that Chief is timid, cautious when meeting new people, and especially wary of children, but that’s old survival skill, not his entire story. His foster has given him a sense of safety, and Chief is starting to show his gentle, deeply affectionate side to those patient enough to let him come around. He thrives on treats and attention once he trusts you and naturally gravitates towards a calm, comforting presence. Chief weighs just 12 pounds and is a small Rat Terrier mix about five years old, sporting a smooth short coat in shades of brown, black, and white. He’s house trained, crate trained, and making steady progress on leash walks—though right now a fenced yard is a must while he gains more confidence. Chief gets along well with other dogs and even lived with cats before, but he needs to live with adults only. He’ll be happiest in a patient, low-key home where his sensitivity is an asset, not a liability. If you win him over, you’ll have a snuggler for life. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
