Jax is a sharp-looking 12-year-old Rat Terrier with plenty of life left in him. Weighing about 25 pounds and in great shape after beating cancer, he keeps an active routine and enjoys the sun, brisk walks, jogging, and all things fetch. He’s always got a stuffed toy nearby. Jax does well with small dogs and chill larger ones, though he’ll set boundaries if another dog gets too close or bumps into him. He can get protective of his body and needs a muzzle when being physically handled, so a respectful approach is a must. For the right person, Jax is loyal and loving. He’s perfectly house-trained, barks to go outside, and can be trusted loose around the house. No worries about trash-diving or destructive habits here. Jax has some anxiety, but it’s manageable with routine and regular exercise. He'll do best as an only dog or with another small, polite pup. He shouldn’t live with cats or small animals.
