About Mika
Mika is a 10-pound, 9-month-old Rat Terrier who has already overcome quite a bit in her young life. After a rough start, she's learning to trust people and her transformation from a fearful pup to a playful, affectionate companion really stands out. Mika now initiates play and enjoys pets, though she isn’t comfortable being picked up just yet. Her house-training is coming along well; she’s transitioned from relying on potty pads to happily going outside, with very few accidents. Crate time is still a work in progress, though Mika willingly eats her meals there and sometimes chooses it as a spot to relax. At night, she prefers to sleep in her own bed but can't wait to greet her humans and canine friends each morning. Mika needs a home with a securely fenced yard since leash walks are still new to her. She will thrive with at least one confident, small dog to show her the ropes, and she requires a quiet, adult-centered environment because fast movements from young kids still startle her. Mika’s family should be patient and understand that trust and training will build over time, with lots of love and encouragement along the way. With the right people, Mika’s loyalty and gentle spirit are ready to shine. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
