About Leila
If you are interested in any of the dogs available at New Leash Rescue, you can reach out to the foster listed below for more information and then complete an adoption application which can be found at https://www.newleashrescue.org/adopt/policy. Please email the completed application to newleashrescue2018@gmail.com ? Meet Leila – Your Future Snuggle Buddy! Leila is a one-year-old medium-sized sweetheart who’s bursting with love and playful energy. She’s happiest when she’s surrounded by her humans and her canine companions — she thrives in a home with another dog and will only go on walks if her furry friend tags along! ? What Makes Leila Special: Affection Queen: Leila adores human attention and insists on being close — couch cuddles are her favorite! Dog-Loving Dynamo: She’s playful and social with other dogs, especially when it comes to zoomies in the yard. Gentle Soul: Non-reactive to cats and great on car rides — she’s calm and curious. Smart Cookie: Kennel trained, doing great with house training, and knows what’s okay to chew. No Boundaries (in the best way): Personal space? Never heard of it! Leila wants to be wherever you are. ? What She Needs: A patient and loving home that gives her time to warm up. A dog sibling to help her feel confident and playful. A yard for her zoomie sessions and a couch for her snuggle marathons. Leila’s beauty and spirit shine far brighter than any photo can capture. She’s a joyful, enthusiastic companion who will fill your life with laughter, love, and loyalty. Adoption fee is $500+ tax (no checks) Email to contact: heikewhite@yahoo.com Please inquire if this pup will be attending any of our upcoming Saturday adoption events from 11-2pm at the Burnsville, Cottage Grove, or Forest Lake PetSmart locations. Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home. Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
