Meet Artie, a charming 2-year-old American Staffordshire mix ready to find his forever home. Weighing in at 58 pounds, he's the ideal medium-sized companion, eager to embrace all the joys that life has to offer. Artie thrives on routine and tasty treats. His food motivation makes training fun—he already knows "sit" and "shake," and is always ready to learn more. While he enjoys the outdoors, he prefers engaging activities like solving food puzzles to long walks. Just hand him an oversized stick, and he’ll strut around before settling down for a good chew. Affectionate and friendly, Artie loves people. His sweet nature shines through when he greets visitors and makes new friends during walks. Once comfortable, he won’t hesitate to ask for belly rubs and even rests his chin on your back like an adorable pillow. Coming into rescue with limited socialization, Artie is still learning the ins and outs of dog life. He is curious and enjoys the company of other dogs, and while he’s figuring out how to play, he responds well to slow introductions and patient guidance. Artie has also cohabitated with a cat; his enthusiasm sometimes gets him a light swat but generally, he adapts well. At home, he is crate trained and making strides with potty training, showing a reliable routine. He appreciates short daily walks and some time to explore the yard. Artie thrives in a calm and predictable environment that allows him to relax and continue learning. Watching Artie grow in confidence has been a rewarding journey, and his future family will enjoy every moment of it. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who repays patience with endless affection and joy, Artie is waiting for you. Click apply to start the adoption process.
