Rex, formerly known as Maui, is a young male Pit Bull Terrier mix in Marietta, OH, looking for stability after a bumpy start. Picked up as a stray with his mom and sister, Rex caught everyone’s eye with his sharp white-and-brindle coat, long tail, symmetrical face, and expressive, semi-erect ears. He’s a bright, animated pup—always eager, very outgoing, and brimming with puppy energy. Rex has a reputation for being the ringleader; he’s curious about everything and doesn’t hesitate to make himself heard. He’s had a taste of family life, twice finding foster homes eager to make it permanent, but both fell through—first, because of time constraints, and most recently, because Rex did not mesh with the home’s other dog. He needs to be the only animal in the household and cannot live with cats. Rex is neutered and up to date on his vaccines. He loves children and thrives with human attention. He’ll do best with adopters who can handle his youthful exuberance, provide structure, and support his need for one-on-one attention.
