About Brick
Brick is a goofy, lovable 7-year-old German Shepherd Dog tipping the scales at 103 pounds. Heās a true gentle giantāprotective, charming, and full of quirky personality. Brick sports a distinctive docked tail that only adds to his big-dog mystique. Heās generally a people dog, quick to announce the arrival of loud or assertive men with a powerful warning bark, though heās never crossed the line into aggression. Loyalty runs deep in this dog, and he stands guard over his home like heās born for the job. He does best in a home without small children, simply due to his size and bouncy presenceālittle ones could easily get bowled over. Around other dogs, Brick is submissive and especially sweet with smaller pups. He coexists peacefully with two resident cats, although heās not above the occasional neighborhood cat chase. Brick is fully housetrained, does well when left alone for several hours, and keeps quiet at night. Fireworks can rattle him, but he manages with some mild sedation. On walks, heās easygoing and non-reactive, only piping up if another dog does. He loves fetch, stuffed toys, water outings, and car rides, always ready to be your polite sidekick. Brick lost his first home when his person left him behind; now, with his rescuer moving, he needs a new family by September 30. He can only be met in person in Sacramento, CA. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
