About Marley
Marley is a 4-year-old, neutered male mixed breed with German Shorthaired Pointer and Lab in his DNA, weighing around 60 lbs. He’s had a winding journey—rescued from Texas as a puppy, adopted, then returned after several years when a new toddler in the home caused anxiety. Marley gets along well with other dogs and has lived peacefully with cats. He prefers older, respectful kids and isn’t at ease around young children who can’t give him space. Marley is loyal to his people, crate trained, and knows his basics. He meets new people cautiously but without reactivity. A fenced yard is ideal for him, and adopters with large breed experience will have an easier transition. He’s currently being fostered in the greater Seattle area as he waits for a stable home. Every animal’s history shapes them; Marley’s ready to write a quieter, settled next chapter. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.

Questions about Marley
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Marley, as a German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever mix, does best in a home with some space to move around and a calm atmosphere. Ideally, an environment with a yard or easy access to the outdoors helps him feel secure and relaxed.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A dog of Marley’s mix thrives with regular outdoor exercise. A securely fenced yard is preferred for big breeds like him so he has room to stretch his legs and burn energy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While Marley's breeds are generally friendly and tolerant, Marley himself does best with older, respectful children. He tends to feel anxious around small kids who can’t respect his boundaries.
