About Aragorn

Aragorn is an estimated 2-year-old, 11 lb Chihuahua mix with a sweet and sensitive nature. After being rescued from a busy shelter where he was at risk simply due to space, he’s been decompressing well in foster care. While Aragorn is still timid and wary around people, he enjoys the company of other dogs—especially playful ones—and thrives when he has a canine friend or two to buddy up with. In his foster home, he has shown excellent house training skills using the doggie door and hasn't had accidents inside. He prefers a quiet environment and needs a fully fenced yard, especially since he’s known to be an agile tree climber and curious explorer. Aragorn busies himself collecting toys in piles, runs with the other dogs, and looks to his humans for confidence during walks out in the world, though he remains a bit standoffish and happiest when left to engage on his terms. He is looking for an experienced adopter with a calm home, no young kids, and at least one friendly, welcoming resident dog. He does well on leash, rides nicely in the car, and is smart—learning words and routines quickly despite his skittishness. While Aragorn may never be a ā€œpeopleā€ dog, he’s an extremely sweet companion for a home willing to give him space, patience, and encouragement. He’ll be happiest in a home that respects his boundaries and values the quiet bond he’ll build with his furry friends. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
