About Aragorn
Aragorn is an estimated 2-year-old, 11 lb Chihuahua mix with a sweet and sensitive nature. After being rescued from a busy shelter where he was at risk simply due to space, heās been decompressing well in foster care. While Aragorn is still timid and wary around people, he enjoys the company of other dogsāespecially playful onesāand thrives when he has a canine friend or two to buddy up with. In his foster home, he has shown excellent house training skills using the doggie door and hasn't had accidents inside. He prefers a quiet environment and needs a fully fenced yard, especially since heās known to be an agile tree climber and curious explorer. Aragorn busies himself collecting toys in piles, runs with the other dogs, and looks to his humans for confidence during walks out in the world, though he remains a bit standoffish and happiest when left to engage on his terms. He is looking for an experienced adopter with a calm home, no young kids, and at least one friendly, welcoming resident dog. He does well on leash, rides nicely in the car, and is smartālearning words and routines quickly despite his skittishness. While Aragorn may never be a āpeopleā dog, heās an extremely sweet companion for a home willing to give him space, patience, and encouragement. Heāll be happiest in a home that respects his boundaries and values the quiet bond heāll build with his furry friends. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
