About Toad
Toad is a one-year-old neutered mixed breed with equal parts herding dog, terrier, and a seriously outgoing personality. He ended up in rural Texas as a stray puppy along with his siblings, but now that they've found homes, it's finally Toad's turn. This friendly guy is a true all-rounder—he gets along with dogs, cats, and kids, making him an easy fit for a lively household. Toad's foster calls him pure mischief in the body of a spotted puppy. He's got a standout look: think 'reverse Guernsey cow'—mostly white with tan patches. But even though he might remind you of a little calf, his energy is all dog. He’s happiest when in the middle of family life, and while he gets a bit lonely when left by himself, he settles down and just wants to be where the action is. Affection is his superpower. If snuggling was a sport, Toad would be a decorated champion. At night, he burrows into his bed and settles in for a snooze. During the day, he’s a bundle of playful energy, racing through the backyard with the resident dog and showing off a joyful zest for life. He’d thrive with a playful canine companion and a family who loves cuddles and chaos in equal measure. Given his herding mix and activity level, he’s not suited for apartment living—Toad really needs a yard to zoom. Toad is currently available for adoption in the greater Seattle area. Your new best friend is just one click away.
