This adorable canine came from a rough start but has transformed into a shining star! ✨ In August 2024, she and her nine companions found themselves in a shelter in Virginia, but their luck turned when they arrived at the Appalachian Great Pyrenees Rescue (AGPR). Once upon a time, Mame was underweight, practically hairless due to mange, with infected ears and eyes, and so emotionally detached from the world. But thanks to the abundance of love from the AGPR team, she has bloomed into a stunning pup with a gorgeous coat, and she's learned the beautiful art of trusting and loving humans again. 💖 Now, this delightful gal is 68% Great Pyrenees and 21% Maremma- a delightful genetic mix that adds to her charm! When the spirit moves her, Mame becomes the "zoomie queen"—chasing her human friends around the exercise run, and let me tell you, it’s an adorable sight! 🏃‍♀️💨 If you’re quick enough, she'll delight you with a sweet nose boop, proving how joyful she is about life! And hey, she’s a champ at car rides, ready for all the adventures you can throw her way! 🚗💙 Mame might be a little smaller than her siblings Brownie and Sumo, but she’s packed with personality! They say good things come in small packages, and Mame is living proof of that! One unique feature is her short tail, likely a remnant of her tougher days before rescue. And while she’s set to celebrate her five-year milestone this year, she’s not letting age slow her down! 🎉 Now, let's talk about her journey: last year, Mame tested positive for ehrlichia but has been treated and is thriving!
