About Louise

Hi! My name is Louise and I am one lucky girl. When I was a year old (April 2024), I was turned in to a shelter by a breeder who could not sell me. I had done nothing wrong... A nice man who volunteers for Appalachian Great Pyrenees Rescue was contacted by the shelter and asked if he could help. He came down to visit me and offered to foster me until AGPR could find room for me. I was so happy to leave the shelter and go into a loving home before going to the rescue. What do I love about being at AGPR? The food is yummy, the people shower me with affection, and I have a male buddy to play with during the day. He's a little younger than me but that's ok. I'm a little shy when I meet someone new, but warm up given a little time. After that, I'm your girl forever. As much as I love it here, I turned two years old in April (2025) and think it is time to move into a home of my own. Any chance I could work my way into your heart and home? All Great Pyrenees require a fenced-in yard (at least four foot high). If you have questions about the breed or our adoption policies and procedures, please go to our website at www.agprescue.org. There's plenty of good information about the breed on our website - Pyrs aren't a breed for everyone! Our adoption application is online: http://agprescue.org/adoption-application/agpr-application-donations/ Please note that we are a small regional rescue organization. We will consider adopting to families within a four to five hour drive to Richmond, VA
