Meet Billy! At 9 years young and just 12 pounds, Billy is a sweet, slightly hard-of-hearing little lady who has discovered that life is infinitely better with soft beds, good food, regular spa days, and people who adore her. And after everything she's been through, we'd say she's earned every bit of it. Billy was found wandering the streets alone, with no one looking out for her. Her teeth were badly rotted, her ears were painfully infected, and she had little to no hearing. It's heartbreaking to imagine this tiny girl navigating the world alone, hurting and unable to hear the sounds around her. Thankfully, those days are behind her. Since coming into rescue, Billy has received the veterinary care she desperately needed, including a full dental and treatment for her ears. She's feeling SO much better, and her personality has absolutely blossomed. And what a delightful little personality it is! Billy is a goofy, affectionate, incredibly sweet girl who has fully embraced the bougie lifestyle. She's an absolute professional when it comes to grooming and even LOVES being blow-dried. Yes, you read that correctly. This little diva enjoys a good blowout. She's also a surprisingly playful little thing. Watch her bounce around the backyard, and you'd never guess she's a senior. She loves exploring, being silly, and enjoying the fresh air. Toys and stuffies? Meh. Billy has more refined tastes. Give her a good treat, though, and you've got her undivided attention. Billy is wonderfully dog friendly, cat friendly, and has been lovely with children. She enjoys greeting neighborhood dogs on her walks and absolutely adores snuggling up with her foster dog siblings. She's a social little lady who seems to assume that everyone she meets is probably worth befriending. And her house manners? Impeccable. Billy is perfectly potty trained and appreciates a good routine. She's typically tucked into bed around 9 p.m. and wakes around 7 a.m. for a quick potty break, followed by the highlight of her morning: BREAKFAST. After breakfast, she enjoys a leisurely walk, where she behaves beautifully on leash. Despite having little to no hearing, Billy gets around wonderfully. Her vision and mobility are excellent, and she can even hop up onto low furniture when the occasion calls for it. The rest of her day is generally devoted to the important business of napping, following her foster mom around, and locating the very best sunbeam in the house. She's particularly fond of a cozy couch, preferably one with a human or canine companion nearby. Billy is also a fantastic little travel buddy. She rides beautifully in the car and is perfectly content in her carrier when visiting public places. Whether you're running errands, heading out for an adventure, or simply spending a quiet afternoon at home, Billy is happy to be included. A little about Billy: - Approximately 9 years old and 12 pounds - Dog friendly, cat friendly, and wonderful with children - Perfectly potty trained, excellent on leash, and great in the car - Little to no hearing, but excellent vision and mobility - Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and recently received a full dental Billy would thrive in a home where life is relatively predictable and her people enjoy spending time together. She's not asking for much—just a comfortable place to nap, a reliable dinner schedule, some leisurely walks, and plenty of affection. She'd make a phenomenal companion for a retiree, someone who works from home, or anyone who appreciates the quiet joy of sharing life with a sweet, easygoing little dog. She would be happy with friendly canine companions or simply a devoted human to call her own. There's something especially touching about watching a senior dog discover that the world can be kind. Billy spent who knows how long surviving on her own, with painful teeth, infected ears, and a world that had grown quiet around her. Yet somehow, she emerged from it all with the sweetest disposition imaginable. She's not bitter. She's not fearful. She's just happy to be loved. **Billy doesn't need a second chance at puppyhood. She needs a first-class retirement.** And we can't wait to find the family who will spoil this darling little lady for the rest of her days. Apply to adopt Billy at CRAPrescue.org/application.
