Meet Bruno Pumpernickel! Bruno is a sensitive sweetheart who is learning that the world-and the people in it-aren't so scary after all! He may be a little nervous when you first meet him, but give this brave boy some time and space, and you'll get to see him blossom. During a recent visit, Bruno warmed up beautifully, happily accepting treats and eventually asking for pets and gentle neck scratches. Before long, he was content to hang out near his human, wander around to explore, and enjoy some quiet companionship. Bruno appreciates a low-pressure approach, simple acknowledgment, and the freedom to build trust at his own pace. He can be startled by loud noises, but he's making progress and even showed off his ability to sit and wait for a treat! With patience, kindness, and plenty of positive reinforcement, Bruno is showing us what a brave boy he can be. This handsome guy doesn't need you to rush into being his best friend. He just needs someone willing to let friendship happen naturally. Give Bruno the time to feel safe, and you may just find yourself with a loyal little buddy who is happy to hang out by your side.
