Meet Simon D! Simon D is a joyful and affectionate boy who’s finally getting the second chance he truly deserves. After spending too long in a shelter facing euthanasia, he was rescued by his fantastic fosters who are helping him learn the joys of a loving home. With so much love to give, Simon is an energetic and friendly boy who enjoys being close to his people. He’s a true companion that would love to be by your side all the time. Playtime is a highlight for him, whether it’s tug-of-war, fetch, or just a good walk. While he's still figuring out how to return the ball during fetch, his enthusiasm is undeniable! This smart boy is already crate trained and housetrained, and knows commands like sit and lay down. He takes treats gently too. Like many dogs adjusting to a new environment, he’s still learning some boundaries, especially when he gets excited. His fosters are guiding him to ensure he understands appropriate play. Simon’s ideal home is an active, adult-only environment where he can thrive with playful time and lots of affection. He has been reported to get along with other dogs, although introductions to new dogs haven’t happened yet, so his compatibility with cats remains unknown. Most importantly, Simon needs someone who recognizes his wonderful potential. He’s a loving boy ready for a forever home where he can flourish.
