Dog's Name: Baby Skittles (SKI1026ALAMD) Estimated Breed: Pointer / Lab mix Approximate Age: 3 months Approximate Weight: 12 lbs Currently Living at: Coming soon... Adoption Fee: $500 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Baby Skittles! Skittles and his brother, Baby Twizzler, found themselves where no puppy should ever be — in a crowded shelter in Alabama. Sadly, so many puppies in overcrowded shelters never get their chance, but these two lucky boys were saved and are now ready to find the loving forever homes they deserve. Skittles is your typical sweet, playful, and loving puppy. He's curious, affectionate, and always ready for some fun! He's also at the perfect age for training and socialization, giving his new family the opportunity to help him grow into the very best boy he can be. If your family could use a little more happiness, a few wet-nose kisses, and plenty of puppy butt wiggles, Baby Skittles may be just what you've been looking for. Apply today and change this deserving boy's life forever — and chances are, he'll change yours too! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
