If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/generic You can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/. Dog's Name: Sirius (SIR0525ALAMD) Estimated Breed: Lab/Pointer mix Approximate Age: 8 months DOB 3/10/25 Approximate Weight: 40 LBS Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $500 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Sirius is pretty amazing and would love a home with kids and another dog would be a bonus. He is housetrained (uses a doggy door to a fenced in backyard). He a pup that would love outdoor adventures and basic obedience class will help you bond with your new pup. They are named the Star Litter because we want them to be treated as stars for the rest of their lives. As a true testament to how forgiving and loving dogs can be, they are all very sweet and really want attention and love despite the rough start to life they have had. They are also great with other dogs. At their young ages, they are in their prime for training and socialization too. Could you be the happy ending Sirius so very deserves? Submit an application today! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
