About Leo

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Leo is a fantastic young lab mix who would thrive in a home with children and another dog to keep him company. Currently living with a foster family, he is house trained (and even uses a doggy door to a fenced-in backyard), making him a wonderful addition to your active lifestyle and outdoor adventures. After playtime, he loves to settle in on the couch, showing his affectionate side. Despite a rough start—having been found in a dump in rural Alabama as part of the Star Litter—Leo has remained incredibly sweet and loving, eager for attention and companionship. His forgiving and gentle nature is a true testament to just how resilient dogs can be. Leo is also very social with other dogs, making him a great choice if you want a playful and people-friendly pup. At just 11 months old, he’s ready for training and socialization and is at the perfect age to bond deeply with his new family. If you’re ready to give Leo the happy ending he deserves, he’s more than ready to be your loyal companion. Fun fact: With a birthday on March 10, Leo is a Pisces, known for their affectionate and empathetic nature—traits that shine through in this sweet pup. Adoption fees help cover essential vetting, spay/neuter surgery, core vaccinations, heartworm testing and prevention, and transport costs. Every adoption supports the rescue’s continued efforts.
