Are you looking for an addition to your family who is crate-trained, housetrained, and leash-trained? That's me! I am an Australian Shepherd, 5 years old and weigh approximately 40 lbs. I am neutered, vetted, microchipped, and fully up-to-date on shots. I came from a family with small children, but after 5 years they unfortunately were no longer in a position to care for me. My one brown and one blue eye add to my beauty and adorable face that matches my happy disposition. Happy-go-lucky could be my middle name. I am probably 8/10 on energy level and enjoy 1-2 walks each day even while enjoying my fenced in yard. Speaking of, do you enjoy throwing tennis balls? Retrieving them is my main hobby and I must say, I'm quite fast at it. While I really enjoy going on walks and I'm great on a leash, sometimes I might bark at anyone who I deem to be a stranger. I may express my concern when I hear other dogs outside. I can be a little distrustful of strangers at first, especially men, but once I know there is no danger, I would love some belly rubs. I'll follow you room-to-room and I do not jump on a bed, couch, or other furniture unless invited. If you need me to go to my crate, just tell me to and I'll do it! I know how to “sit” very well and I am extremely responsive to human directions. I am a very sweet cuddlebug. I've had a foster brother for the past three weeks and we love to run and play. I sometimes annoy my foster brother by being in his space, but I leave him alone when he asks. Within minutes I'll back to my happy wiggle worm dance, sometimes even on my back with a tennis ball in my mouth. I'm a big fan of tug of war, too. I do not engage in resource guarding, and I am happy and submissive. I would be happy with siblings or without. I'd probably thrive in a home with a family or a single individual that enjoys moving and playing. I'm happy, vocal, and I love my people.
