About Koda Fka Fortune

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! HUGE CUDDLE BUG ALERT! Meet Koda (formerly known as Fortune), an affectionate and playful Aussie/Great Pyrenees mix who’s around 4 years old. Koda is a giant teddy bear at heart, especially when it comes to cuddling, with ear rubs being his absolute favorite pastime—he’ll even snuggle up next to you (or on you) to get them! When he’s not soaking up attention, Koda loves to play, especially with other friendly dogs, making him a fantastic companion for a home with a playful canine sibling. His best friend is Cammie, another foster dog, and together they enjoy wrestling, chasing each other, and playing in water. Koda is well-suited for homes with older children, given his large size, but is not recommended for families with younger kids or cats. Koda’s intelligence shines when treats are on offer, and he already knows his basic commands. He may greet you with the classic "Pyr Paw" for attention and is known for placing his head in your lap to request ear scratches. He’s a fan of car rides and does well traveling. While he can get a bit klutzy, knocking the occasional bookshelf item, his charm is hard to resist! Watching over the yard, running in a secure, large fenced space, and exploring on leash are some of his favorite activities. Koda does have guardian instincts and will alert to perceived threats like trucks, motorcycles, and even squirrels, so a confident owner who can gently redirect him is important. Because Koda likes to wander and will chase cars if given a chance (true to his Pyr background and former stray days), he requires a securely fenced yard—no electronic fences—and should remain on leash outside enclosed areas. For safety, only homes with solid fencing will be considered. Koda is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, and weighs about 80 pounds (some of that is fluffy fur!). He’s both crate trained and leash trained, and ready to make a wonderful addition to a loving family. As an Aquarius (born February 5), Koda is unique and full of personality! Think you are the one?
