Full of energy and laser-sharp smart, she thrives when she has purposeful work—think chores, agility, scent games, or just being your constant outdoor buddy. Leash walks in a quiet suburb don’t do it for her, but she lights up in open spaces. This is a classic herding dog: loyal, attached to her person, and happiest with structure and a ‘job’ to do. She gets along with some dogs (no doodles, please), and good introductions matter. She listens beautifully to cues and does best with playful dogs that enjoy clear boundaries. Cats don’t interest her until they bolt—then her herding instinct wants to chase. She’s done fine around chickens and goats with supervision. When it comes to people, Lilly needs someone with Aussie or herding breed experience. She can be reactive or suspicious until she knows you.
