About Eddie Munster

Meet Eddie Munster, a small dog with a vibrant personality, an adorable underbite, and a heart that just needs a bit of time to feel safe. At 9 months old and 16 pounds, this charming Wirehaired Terrier is sweet and playful, enjoying snuggles with his people, playing with other dogs, and discovering the joys of life. Eddie arrived in foster care a bit anxious, but he's making progress each day. He revels in toys, games of chase, and exploring during walks. Crunchy fall leaves are a particular delight, and he has a unique trick of curling up amidst his blankets as if spooning with a friend. Eddie gets along well with other dogs and would thrive with a playful canine buddy. While he has shown he can be around children, a home with kids aged 13 and older is best due to his shy nature. His experience with cats is still a mystery. Patience is key with Eddie when it comes to handling. He was found severely matted, which required sedation for grooming. Now, he can be uncomfortable with collars or leashes, potentially expressing himself through his mouth. With his foster family working alongside a trainer, he's learning to feel more at ease. He currently walks well on a slip lead, but his new family will need to continue this positive reinforcement training to build his confidence. Eddie is also honing his potty-training skills and is getting better. He settles into his crate quickly, although he’s not thrilled about entering it. He thrives with regular outdoor breaks, enjoys walks, and playtime, and will need a securely fenced yard to prevent any escape attempts. Eddie is a loving little guy who craves companionship and wants to be part of a family. A committed adopter who understands the importance of building trust at his pace will make a world of difference for him. Can you give Eddie the safe and loving home he deserves?
