About Xena
Meet Xena, a whirlwind of energy and love originally picked up as a stray by St. Paul Animal Control. Despite being overlooked and even returned after a brief stay, this dynamic girl has finally landed with New Leash Rescue. Xena boasts an impressive ability to charm with a tender paw on your lap, but blink and you might find her bouncing off the walls like a joyful tornado. Her foster family describes her as energetic, playful, and crate trained. Xena is great with other dogs too—especially those who enjoy a good rough-and-tumble game. She walks well on a leash and behaves beautifully in public, although she’s still learning some manners at home. With her exuberant personality, she’ll definitely need a family that understands her high energy level and is committed to providing consistent training. Xena thrives on positive reinforcement and loves to be mentally and physically stimulated. With a few boundaries set to help guide her, she’ll be the charming companion you’ve been searching for. Just be prepared for a few outfit casualties along the way—the kisses and cuddles will be well worth it! Xena is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and preventatively treated, microchipped, and has even undergone cherry eye surgery. She’s all set to find her forever home! If you think you can handle the delightful chaos that is Xena, come meet this lovable goofball and see if you’re the right match. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Xena
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Xena, being a mix of Presa Canario and Cane Corso, would thrive in a home that can accommodate her high energy levels. She needs lots of space to move around and play, ideally with an active family.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Xena needs ample outdoor space to romp and expend her energy. A yard where she can run and play is preferred over a small apartment.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Xena may not be the best fit for homes with children, as she has a strong and boisterous personality that could overwhelm younger kids.
