About Captain
Meet Captain, a lively 67-pound Husky mix with a vibrant personality and a heart full of love. This energetic boy is always eager to explore and take in everything the world has to offer. Food is a fantastic motivator for him, so if you have tasty treats on hand, you’re in for a show of tricks! When he’s not busy adventuring, Captain enjoys the softer side of life—he loves butt scratches, affection, and quality cuddle time. A playful spirit, he delights in games, especially if tennis balls are involved. While Captain can be a bit anxious at times, with understanding and patience, he has all the potential to become a devoted companion. Though he came to the shelter with his buddy Hunter, he’s okay with finding a home on his own. Captain thrives with plenty of physical activity and mental challenges, so puzzle toys and training games are a must for this intelligent guy. He can be a little stubborn, needing a family that uses patience and positive reinforcement. If you’re searching for a fun-loving partner who also enjoys a good scratch and some memorable adventures, Captain could be the one for you! His adoption fee is $225, covering his stay and care at the humane society. Residents of Pennington County should pay an additional $8 licensing fee upon adoption. Happy adopting!
