I'm Oaklee, a 37-pound Border Collie mix with a smart mind and a loving heart! I can be a little nervous when meeting new people or exploring new places, but with calm, proper introductions I warm up pretty quickly - and once I do, I absolutely adore attention and being loved on. I know my name and will happily come when you call, especially if snacks are involved because I'm a big foodie at heart! I love using my nose and tend to sniff every little thing around me, so activities like scent work or snuffle mats sound like my kind of fun. Playing fetch is one of my favorite games, and I'm proud to say I'm great at bringing the ball right back so we can keep the game going. As a clever Border Collie mix, I need an active home that can keep both my body and my brain busy. I thrive when I have jobs to do, games to play, and plenty of exercise to burn off my energy - without enough stimulation, I can become bored or even a little down. I'm looking for a family ready to include me in adventures, training, and enrichment activities that help me shine. Because I can be anxious and need a predictable environment, I'd do best in a home without small kids. With patience, structure, and lots of love, I'll be a loyal, affectionate companion who's happiest learning, playing, and spending time with my favorite people. My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society. All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
